Camp Improvements and New Programs

This month we have applied for grants with the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels and the Old National Bank Foundation. If approved, we will take the next step in remodeling King Hall and receive funds to invest in our new Community Serve program!

Due to past grants and supporters, we have been able to improve our camp property. Recently, we have leveraged this support with repairs in King Hall. We have installed an HVAC system, created our Great Room meeting space, and replaced all windows and entryways. Our next goal is to renovate the shower bathrooms! With better facilities, we have hosted individual guests this winter, offering them affordable lodging and gaining some rental income. We also have a few small groups meeting weekly on camp while following health guidelines such as a ARROW, a substance abuse recovery ministry.

Our Community Serve program is a local service option for one-day projects. This program has provided an outlet for local volunteers to serve with us and minister to individuals in our county who are experiencing poverty or limiting circumstances. The factors of the pandemic make matters even more difficult for these residents. Therefore, we are seeking funds and sponsorships to support this initiative to serve community members with one project a month. If you or your church group, friends, coworkers, or family are interested in serving with us one Saturday, click the link below!
